DURATION: 6 NIGHTS / 7 DAYS PLACES COVERED: -BHUBANESWAR-PURI-KONARK-CHLIKA-GOPALPUR-ON-SEA -BHUBANESWAR
Day 1: Arrival at Bhubaneswar
On arrival at Bhubaneswar airport / railway station transfer to hotel.Later if time permit half day sightseeing of famous city temples including Rajarani, Parsurameswar,Mukteswar ( Gem of Orissan architecture ),& Lingaraj ( it is the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar). Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Morning visit to Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves ( oldest rock cut caves, the caves are reminiscent of influence of Buddhism and Jainism in Orissa ).
Then drive to Puri enroute visit Dhauli ( Budhist stupa/ peace pagoda ) , Hirapur ( 64 yogini temple ) , Pipli ( the appliqué work village ).Proceed to Puri and check in to the hotel. Evening visit to Lord Jagannath Temple (Non Hindus are not allowed) / Relax on the golden beach of puri. Overnight at Puri.
Day 3 : Puri – Konark – Puri
Morning drive to Konark to visit the Sun temple ( one of the world famous heritage site & famously known as Black Pagoda ). Enroute visit to Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach (one of the finest beaches with a long stretch of clean sands & the beach has its own lovely serenity ). Return back to Puri. Evening visit to beach market. Overnight at Puri.
Day 4: Puri – Chilika – Gopalpur
Morning drive to Chilika lake at Barkul ( the largest brackish water lake of Asia and famous for its migratory birds coming from distance places ). Take the boat cruise to visit the birds’ island & Nalabana island/ temple island. Then proceed to Gopalpur. Overnight at Gopalpur.
Day 5 : Gopalpur
Morning after breakfast visit to Taratarini temple ( the legendary temple on the hillock). Back to the hotel. Then visit to Patisonapur beach( quiet & secluded beach). Back to the hotel. Overnight at Gopalpur.
Day 06 : Gopalpur – Bhubaneswar
Morning drive back to Bhubaneswar and check in to the hotel. Then visit to Nandankanan Zoo( closed on Monday ). This Zoo is famous for the open white tiger safari. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Day 07 : Departure from BhubaneswarMorning transfer from hotel to airport / railway station for onwards journey.
