Day 01 : Arrival at Ahmedabad
On arrival at Ahmedabad met by our representative transfer to hotel. Later visit to The Swetambara Temple This is the best known of Ahmedabad’s many ornate jain temples. Gandhi Ashram The beautiful ashram complex of Ahmedabad, with shady trees populated by thousand of paraketers, Beaters, sunbirds, squirells, offers a refuge from the loud streets of the city and is one of the foremost tourist attraction of Ahmedabad. Overnight stay at Ahmedabad.
Day 02 : Ahmedabad
Morning after breakfast visit Calico Museum it’s simply finest collection of textiles, clothes, furniture, crafts in the country. Sidi Saiyed Mosque the solid fortified citadel, Bhadra , built of deep red stone in 1411 as Ahmedabad’s first Muslim structure. Adalaj Vav gujarat’s most spectacular step-wells which built by Queen Rudabai entrances leading to a huge platform that rest on 16 pillars. Overnight stay at Ahmedabad.
Day 03 : Ahmedabad – Patan – Modhera – Dasada
Morning Drive to Dasada enroute visit Rani ki Vav (Step well).It is the most magnificient and spectacular stepwell and the best example of such architecture for water wells. Later visit Patan Patola of weaving, patan is Famous for patola weaving. Later drive to Modhera Sun Temple, Modhera Sun Temple dates bake to early 11th centuary CE & it is the most important of all sun temples built in the whole Gujarat. Back to hotel & Overnight stay.
Day 04 : Dasada
Enjoy morning safari at Little Rann Of Kutch viewing rarest wild asses in the region followed by village safari in the evening. Wild ass sanctuary The sanctuary is well known for its group of the stale joke brown Asiatic (Wild ass), which does not live elsewhere in Indian lowlands. In Village safari we can do safari
tours of pastoral settlements and villages along the Rann of Kutch. The tours visit the rural Vadiara and Kharapat Rabaris of Dasada, known for their embroideries, the silk-weavers colony at Dasada, and Ambala village of the Bharward shepherds and goatherds. Back to hotel & Overnight.
Day 05 : Dasada – Bhuj
After Breakfast drive to Bhuj & check into the hotel. Visit local market area. Overnight stay at Bhuj.
Day 06 : Bhuj – Hodko
Morning proceed to take a permit to visit Banni Tribal area (Please note that all client need to obtain the permit). Later proceed to Banni Village to see various people like Jat, Harijan, Meghawal and Mutva etc in various villages like Hodka, Ludiya and Dhordo. Then visit HODKA village – Hodka derives from the Gujarati word ‘Hodi’which means ‘boat’. Visit LUDIYA village- Harijans and Muslims are main communities in this village. Visits to DHORDO to see beautiful traditional mud houses (Bhungas) with mirror work and its fine Mutwa embroidery with tiny mirrors. Overnight stay at Hodko.
Day 07 : Hodko – Mandvi
After breakfast drive to visit Bhujaodi 10 km out off Bhuj, artisans weave thick shawls and blankets on pit looms dug into the of crouch mud houses (Bhungas)decorated with gargomati. Then proceed to visit Nirona village – A Koli tribal woman in Nirona Village, north of Gujarat. Also visit several artisans and see their unique crafts like Roghan painting clothes, copper bell making, lacquer work on wood and wollen shawl weaving. Overnight stay at Mandvi.
Day 08 : Mandvi – Gondal
After breakfast proceed for Gondal. On arrival check into hotel & Overnight stay.
Day 09 : Gondal – Jetpur – Ahmedabad
Morning visit Naulakha palace. Also visit to vintage car collection which is having a collection of several vintage and classical cars including a 1910 new engine with so many imposing American cars of the 1940s. Later visit of Swaminarayan Temple, Bhuvneshwary Ayurvedic Library, which makes the herbal medicines according to ancient principals.
Later drive to Jetpur 30 kms from Gondal .It is famous for the workshops of block and screen printings and a centre of yarn-dyeing.
Evening transfer to Ahmedabad Airport / Railway station for onwards journey.
