NORTH MEETS EAST

DURATION: 13 NIGHTS / 14 DAYS
PLACES COVERED: - DELHI- SHIMLA-MANALI- DHARAMSHALA – DALHOUSIE – AMRITSAR - DELHI – BHUBANESWAR – KONARK – PURI - BHUBANESWAR

Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi :
On arrival at Delhi airport transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Delhi.

 

Day 02/ Delhi- Shimla :

On arrival at Delhi, you are greeted by our company reprehensive and depart for Shimla. Reach Shimla by the evening. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at  hotel.

Day 03/ Shimla :
After Breakfast, Proceed to Kufri. Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, Poney and Yak Ride and one can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri.  After lunch, explore the various places in and around Shimla. The most interesting ones are the Shimla mosques built in 1830 by Viceroy Regal.

Day 04/ Shimla – Manali :
After breakfast, check out & proceed to Manali. (Distance of 265 km 7 hrs drive.)Arrive Manali by the evening and check into the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at  hotel.

Day 05/ Manali – Rohtangpass :
Excursion to Rothang Pass -  situated at an altitude of 3979 mtrs above sea level and 51 kms away from  Manali.  Rothang  Pass - the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti valley. It affords a wide panoramic view of the Himalayan Ranges.  Here one can  see the majesty of the mountains at its height and splendor. At the top of the pass the air seems to glitter against the snow as you look down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul valley. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at  hotel.
 

Day 06/ Manali – Dhramshala :
A distance of 260 kilometer on the way stopping at Baijnath known for its Shiva Temple and further at Palampur famous for Tea Garden. Dharamhsala is a hill-station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar Mountains about 18 kms north-east of Kangra, It is known for its scenic beauty set amidst high pine and oak trees. Since 1959, when it became the temporary headquarters & abode of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dharamshala has risen to international repute as “The Little Lhasa in India”. Overnight at  hotel.

Day 07/ Dhramshala – Delhousie :
After Breakfast drive from Dharamshala towards Dalhousie -enroute enjoy the local sightseeing of Places which includes, His holiness Dalai lama’s residence & Tsugalkhang at Mc Leodgunj, St. john’s church  (Built in 1853),War memorial, Bhagsunath temple and Dal Lake, Norbulingka, Guyton Rameda Tantric Monastry. Reach Dalhousie in the evening. Overnight at  hotel.  

Day 08/ Delhousie –(Excursion to Khajiar) :
Dalhousie has been named after the British Governor - General of the l9th century, Lord Dalhousie. Surrounded by varied vegetation - pines, deodars, oaks and flowering rhododendron.  Local sightseeing of Dalhousie includes visit to Panjipula, Subhash Baoli and excursion to Khajjiar - 24 km. away  from  Dalhousie surrounded by thick Deodar forest. Drive from Dalhousie to Khajjiar is awesome. Overnight at  hotel.

 

Day 09/ Delhousie - Amritsar :
Check out from the hotel and drive to Amritsar around 7 hours drive. Check in Hotel at Amritsar .After dinner; proceed to Harbinger Sahib (Golden Temple) for the night retreat ceremony of the Guru Grants Sahib To kal Takth 2 about 8:30 pm. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 10/ Amritsar – Delhi :
Check out from the hotel sightseeing of places in and around Amritsar and later transfer to Delhi. All sightseeing of places in and around Delhi Over night at Delhi.

 

Day 11 : Delhi Bhubaneswar :
Morning transfer to airport to board the flight for Bhubaneswar. On arrival at Bhubaneswar met by our representative & transfer to hotel. Then full day sightseeing of famous city temples including Lingaraj, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar &  Rajarani temple. Also visit to tribal museum ( closed on Monday ) , Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

 

Day 12 : Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri :
Morning after breakfast drive to Puri enroute visit Dhauli ( Budhist stupa/ peace pagoda ) , Pipli ( the appliqué work village ) and Konark Sun Temple ( famously known as black pagoda ). Then proceed to Puri and check in to the hotel. Evening  visit of Lord Jagannath Temple (Non Hindus are not allowed) / Relax on the golden beach of puri. Overnight at Puri.

Day 13 : Puri – Raghurajpur – Hirapur - Bhubaneswar :
Morning drive back to Bhubaneswar enroute visit Raghurajpur ( Artisan village, the most famous attraction here is the Pattachitra, paintings on pieces of fabric. ) & Hirapur 64 yogini temple. On arrival at Bhubaneswar check in to the hotel. Then visit to Nandankanan Zoo ( closed on Monday ). This Zoo is famous for its white tiger safari. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 14 : Departure from Bhubaneswar
Morning transfer to airport for onwards journey.
