Arrival at Bhubaneswar

On arrival at Bhubaneswar airport meet by our representative and transfer to hotel. If time permit half day sightseeing of famous city temples including Lingaraj (it was built in 1114 AD to the glory of Shiva & is the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar), Parsurameswar (built in 650 AD, is one of the oldest temples existing in Bhubaneswar & typical example of the Orissan style of temple architecture), Mukteswar (known as the 'gem of Orissan architecture') & Rajarani temple (it was constructed in the 10th and 11th century from reddish gold sandstone called 'Rajarani' in the local dialect). Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Bhubaneswar – Kila Dalijoda

Morning drive to Cuttack to witness the famous silver filigree workers at work and visit one or two shop for purchase. Also see horn craftsmen at work. Have lunch at Cuttack and drive to Om's house for boat ride to Dhabaleshwar temple. Enroute do nature and bird photography. Check in to the Palace & overnight stay.

Early morning trek to a Sabar tribal village Banjhiama, enroute nature photography of birds, butterflies etc. Have packed breakfast and interact with the villagers, and see their lifestyle. Back to Palace. After lunch visit Munda tribal village & visit to weekly market (commence on wednesday/thursday/saturday/sunday). Also see the cock fights. Return to Palace. Evening enjoy Munda tribal dance followed by dinner. Overnight stay at Palace.

Kiladalijoda – Diamond Triangle – Dhenkanal

Morning drive to the diamond triangle of Orissa – Ratnagiri (has a rich concentration of Buddhist antiquities), Lalitgiri (oldest Buddhist center of Orissa) & Udaigiri (largest Buddhist complexes in Orissa). Proceed to Dhenkanal and check in to the Palace & overnight stay.

Early morning walk down in jungle trails for small game drive and bird watching. Also visit to a tribal village which is just few minutes' drive from Palace. Afternoon visit to Joranda Gadhi (to see the Mahima cult). Back to Palace & overnight stay.

Dhenkanal – Puri

Morning drive to Puri enroute visit Nuapatna which is famous for silk sarees. Also visit to Sadeibarini Dhokra Craft village. Proceed to Puri and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Puri.

Puri – Konark – Puri

Morning drive to Konark to visit the Sun temple (one of the world famous heritage site & famously known as Black Pagoda). En-route visit to Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach (one of the finest beaches with a long stretch of clean sands & the beach has its own lovely serenity). Return back to Puri. Evening visit to beach market. Overnight at Puri.

Puri – Chilika Lake – Puri

Morning drive to Chilika Lake at Satapada (largest brackish water lake). Take the boat cruise to visit the Irrawaddy Dolphins & Rajhans Island. Return back to Puri. Rest time relax on the golden beach. Overnight at Puri.

Puri – Bhubaneswar & Departure

Morning drive back to Bhubaneswar enroute visit Pipli the appliqué village & Dhauli the peace pagoda. On time transfer to airport for onwards journey.
