Cheeyapara Waterfalls enroute to Munnar

Cochin to Munnar — Cheeyapara Falls & Town Visit

Pick up from Cochin and drive to Munnar. Enroute visit Cheeyapara Waterfalls, check in at the hotel, and enjoy an evening town visit. Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams — Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale — at 1,600 metres above sea level. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns and winding lanes make this a popular holiday destination.

After breakfast visit Rajamalai (closed during breeding season), Tea Museum (closed on Monday), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam and Blossom Park. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978, it is noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty.

Thekkady to Alleppey — Backwaters & Beach

After breakfast drive to Alleppey, check in at the hotel, optional cruise, visit the beach and overnight stay. With the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and freshwater rivers criss-crossing it, Alappuzha is a district of immense natural beauty — referred to as the Venice of the East. This backwater country is home to diverse animal and bird life. Alappuzha is famous for boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry. The region called Kuttanad — a land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala — is one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level.
